You may have heard of the NYC pup, Lulu, who brings unexpected smiles to mourners. Did you know we have our very own here in St. Louis?! I’m so honored to introduce you to Teddy. He is the only pet therapy dog working in a funeral home in the greater St Louis Region, that we know of. Baue Funeral Homes, Crematory, and Memorial Gardens decided to add a therapy dog to their services for the benefit of their families and community.

 

They knew well trained service dogs can bring a great deal of comfort during the funeral and grieving process. When dealing with one of the hardest times in life who better to bring some comfort and maybe an unexpected smile than man’s best friend. Baue has also launche a separate Baue Pet Services arm dedicated to animals. It’s amazing to see a company realize just how important our pets are to us and recognize they are family.

 

I started PETraits by Erika because pets are family. It's as simple as that. Part of my vision is to give back and donate my time to bring awareness to important causes with animals.
